What each version of Foldic brought, newest first. The badge on each row says which platforms it reached.
When something goes wrong, you can now tell us about it properly. A Report to Developer screen gathers what Foldic recorded along with a few lines about your machine and your drive, replaces album and photo names with short tokens before anything leaves it, and shows you the whole report first. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
Videos of several gigabytes no longer risk the app being closed by the system partway through — reported by a customer whose iPhone had plenty of free space. Large files now name themselves while being copied and while being read back, and the check compares what your photo library served against what reached the disk, one full read faster.
Scan All leaves “All Photos” for last, so your other albums finish and report their results first instead of waiting behind the largest album in the library. Albums being synced move to the top of the list, with the queue right behind them.
A fix for 0.8's date correction. An album that is already fully backed up never syncs again, so its files kept their download-time dates — the correction now also runs during a scan, which every album goes through.
Deep Compare: Foldic reads back every file it has written and checks the contents against your photo library, names damaged files on the album's row, and repairs them in one click. Files are also verified straight after writing, by default. Backed-up photos carry the date they were taken again, albums can be left out of syncing, and a drive with plenty of room is no longer reported as full.
Backup drives that vanish mid-sync: the sync pauses and resumes by itself when the drive returns, and a full or read-only disk stops it with one clear message instead of failing every photo in turn. On iPhone this version also added Korean.
Rebuilt as a native Mac app: lives in the menu bar, remembers album folders across renames, counts files that belong to no photo, and can back up edited versions too. The iPhone app was rebuilt the same day.
